Presentations at Keimei Gakuen & Disney Prep

After our long day with GOT7, we still had to take the train home. We got home around midnight or so....but Katie had a presentation at a school the next day that she had to make a powerpoint for. I wasn't of any help, but I didn't feel like sleeping while she was working, so I ended up staying up to. Sleeping late + the fatigue from the concert....it was quite a struggle to wake up the next day.
갓세븐을 위한 그 긴 하루가 끝나도 다시 전철 타고 집에 가야했어요. 12시쯤에 집에 도착한 거 같아요....근데 친구가 다음 날 학교에서 발표해야했는데, 그걸 위해 ppt를 만들어야해서 아마 새벽 2시쯤에 잤을껄요 ㅋㅋ 전 아무 도음이 안 됐는데, 제가 혼자기가 좀 그랬어요. 친구는 열심히 일 하고 있는데 제가 먼저 자면 미안하잖아요 ㅋㅋ 그래서 우리 둘 다 늦가 잤어요. 늦게 자기도 하고, 콘서트 때문에 그 피곤함까지 해서...다음 날 일어나기 너무 힘들었어요.
We ended up waking up almost an hour later than we planned and we had to rush. We had planned to go early to tour the school before the presentations, but we ended up having to just take a taxi. (Taxis in Japan are so expensive! It was like $7 right off the bat....$7 was the STARTING rate! That's just insane....)
결국 1시간 늦게 일어나고 허겁지겁 준비하고 나갔어요. 원래 계획은 일직가서 학교 구경 할려고 했는데, 격구에는 그냥 택시 타서 발표 발로 전에 도착했어요. (일본에 택시가 너무 비쌌어요! 시작부터 ₩7000원 넘었어요...₩7000원 넘었다고요! 너무 하지않아요? ㅠㅠ)
The school we went to was Keimei Gakuen.
우리가 그 날 갔던 학교가 케이메이 가쿠엔이라는 학교 였어요.
It's a school that was created after WW2 with the purpose of being a school for returnee children who didn't have the Japanese skills they needed to attend Japanese school. Basically it was a school for students learning Japanese as a Second Language (JSL). Today, the school functions as a regular school, but about 30% of the students are JSL students.
이 학교는 제2차 세계 대전때 미국에서 돌아 오는 일본 귀환자 아이들을 위한 차려진 학교에요. 이 아이들이 아무래도 일본어를 잘 못 해서 일반 학교에서 너무 힘들어해서 이 학교에서 집중적으로 일어를 제2국어 처럼 가르치는 학교였어요. 이제는 그냥 일발 초증고학굔데, 아직까지 약 30%에 학생이 귀화자 아니면 아에 외국인 아이들이에요.
The reason we went to Keimei was that Katie was doing a presentation there. She knows one of the JSL teachers and she asked Katie to come do a little presentation to the middle and high school students. There was a total of 4 presenters. It was just a little presentation where everyone just talked about their lives and their futures/dreams.
우라가 케이메이 간 이유가 친구가 거기서 발표하러 갔어요. 거기 계시는 일본어 선생님이 중/고딩들 한테 인생 & 꿈에 대해 좀 얘기 해달라고 부탁했어요. 발표자라 총 4명이었어요.
I decided to tag along to support the best friend! ....and, I'm not gonna lie, I also wanted to see what a Japanese school was like xDD I've never been to one before and I've always been really curious~
저는 당연히 베프 응원하러 갔죠! ...그리고 솔직히, 일본 학교가 어떤지 궁금했어요ㅋㅋ 가본적이 없어서 항상 궁금했어요~
It was actually really fun to watch most of the presentations. I'm not gonna lie, the first presenter was really boring and too technical. Basically his "Path to Success" was STUDY STUDY STUDY! Like, no. That is definitely not the only way to a successful future! His was the only one I didn't like....but I'll be honest, the other two were kinda boring too tbh, but I just really didn't like the first one.
발표 듣는 게 진짜 재밌었어요. 아 근데 첫번째 발표자는 너무 별로였어요. 그 분은 성공을 할려면 공부 공부 공부! 해야 한다고 계속 강조 하는 거에요. 그넌 아니지. 당연히 공부 열심히 하면 성공하는데, 그렇다고 공부 안 하면 성공 못 하는 거는 아니잖아요. 그래서 그 첫 발표는 너무 별로였어요...한 솔직히 다른 2개도 좀 재미없었어요 ㅋㅋㅋ 근데 들을만했어요. 그 첫번째꺼만 싫었어요.

친구가 마지막 이였는데, 제일 잘 했어요!
I'm not even sugar coating it because she's my best friend. Her presentation was really great. She was so passionate about what she was talking about, it was so nice to see.
제 베프라서 그냥 하는 말이 아니고, 진짜 잘했어요! 하는 얘기에 너무 열정적 이라서 진짜 보기 좋았어요.
There are a lot of things about my best friend that I am jealous about, but the biggest one is definitely her passion for......everything xD She lives her life so differently from how I live mine. Her passion for what she does is on such a different level...I don't think I've ever been even as half as passionate about anything as she is xD She's my life role model♡
제가 친구에 대해 부러운 것이 많은데 제일 부러운 건, 열정. 그 인생에 대한 열정이 너무 대단해요! ㅋㅋ 저랑 너무 다르게 살아요. 친구는 하는 것을 다 열정적으로 하는데...남달라요. 저는 한번도 친구처럼 그렇게 열정적인적이 없을 껄요 ㅋㅋ 내 인생에 롤모델이에요~
But enough sappy stuff! Let's move on~

The school even finished around 4, and I don't think we did anything worth noting after that...
학교 이벤트는 4시쯤에 끝나고, 그 뒤로는 아무것도 안 한 거 같아요 ㅋㅋ
So let's just move on to the next day~
그래서 그냥 다음 날로 너머자죠~ ㅋ
I spent half the day just chilling, since Katie had work xD I just watched movies on Netflix and just took some time to write in my travel journal.
친구가 낮에 일하러 가야해서, 저는 그냥 집에서 쉬었어요. 영화보면서 다꾸를 했어요~
When Katie got home, we started preparing for BIG EVENT #2! We were going somewhere and we needed to pack of course, but we also needed to plan out our outfits and makeup for this event. And we came up with this:
친구가 퇴근하고 집에 왔을때, 빅 이벤트 #2 준비하기 시작했어요! 우리가 어디 가기로했어요. 당연히 짐을 싸야했는데, 그전에 옷이랑 메이크업을 코디 해야했어요. 결과는 이것:
We planned to have a day where we'd go out with some galaxy makeup! Seeing as how I don't have much makeup skills...this was quite a struggleㅠㅠ The easiest part was sticking on the sparkles. I don't have a clue about blending, so trying to find the appropriate colors for this galaxy makeup thing was a challenge.
하루는 갤럭시 메이크업 하기로 했어요! 제가 화장을 잘 하는 편이 아니라서....너무 힘들었어요ㅠㅠ 제일 쉬운건 반짝이 붙이는 것. 저는 블랜딩이나 컨투어에 대해 아무것도 몰라서, 색갈 골르는게 저한테 큰 도전이었어요.
I decided to keep it relatively simple and just went with a pink theme. The greens/blues/purples all looked really nice, but I just wasn't comfortable with the thought of going out like that.
저는 그냥 심플하게 핑크 테마로 선택했어요. 초록/파랑/보라가 다 너무 이뻤는데, 그냥 그렇게 하고 나가는 게 너무 부담스러웠어요.
Katie went with a blue-purple galaxy~ I think we both ended up choosing looks that suited us both~ We ended up being really satisfied with how everything looked and started taking selfies. Then we got distracted by all the Snapchat/SNOW filters and just started playing with those xD
친구는 파랑/보라 갤럭시~ 결국에는 서로한테 제일 잘 어울리는 색상을 고른것 같아요~ 너무나 만족해서 셀카 찍기 시작했어요. 찍다가, 스너우에 필터에 빠져가지고, 그거 갖고 놀기 바빴어요 ㅋㅋ
We ended up staying later than we should have again xD and we ended up leaving for BIG EVENT #2 later than plannedㅠㅠ
또 너무 늦게 자버렸어요 ㅋㅋ 그래서 생각보다 늦게 출발했어요 ㅠㅠ
