I'm a few days late, but I hope you all had a Happy Halloween~ I spent mine at home, expecting to pass out candy to a bunch of trick or treaters. I got all dressed up and I was excited to see all the cute costumes....only to have to answer the door like 6 times. We had like a total of 15 trick or treaters. I was a bit disappointed...
좀 늦었지만, 다들 좋을 할로윈 보냈나요? ㅋㅋ 저는 그냥 집에 보냈어요. 아이들한테 사탕 나눌 예정이었어요. 메이크업하고 옷도 이쁘게 차려 입고. 아이들의 귀여운 분장을 기대했는데...제가 문을 6번 밖에 안 열었어요 ㅠㅠ 15명밖에 안 온 것 같아요... 좀 실망했어요ㅠㅠ
Now we have so much candy left. It's gonna take forever to finish all of it..... BUT that's not the point of this post! Today, I wanted to talk about one of newer hobbies: FILM PHOTOGRAPHY!
사탕 엄청 많이 남았어요. 그걸 언제 다 먹을까요...ㅋㅋ 아무튼! 제가 하고 싶은 얘기는 그게 아니었어요! 오늘은 제가 요즘 관심이 많아지는 것에 대해서 얘기하고 싶었어요: 필름 사진술!
I can't afford a nice film camera and developing film seems like a pain, so I've simply been relying on disposable cameras. I like using the Fujifilm QuickSnap Flash Camera.
좋은 필름 카메라 살 돈 없고, 사진 현상하는 것이 어려워 보여서, 그냥 일회용 카메라를 쓰고있어요 ㅋㅋ 저는 개인적으로 후지 필름 퀵 스냅 플래시 카메라가 좋아요.
I bought a set of 2 for a little less that $14 on eBay, so ~$7 for one. Super cheap! Totally within my budget xD
이베이에서 1+1 세트가 ₩15000정도에요, 그래서 하나에 ₩8000 좀 안되요. 너무 싸요~ 제가 쉽게 살 수 있는 가격 ㅋㅋ
You get 27 shots with this camera, and I've found that it's more than enough. It took me about 2 months to use all the shots in my last camera. Then again...I don't really leave the house, so I haven't had a reason to take any. I imagine that if I went somewhere, I could totally use all the film in one setting.
한 카메라가 사진 27장 찍을 수 있어요. 27이 충분해요. 저번 카메라 필름을 다 쓰는게 2달 걸렸어요. 근데...제가 잘 안 나가서 사진 찍을 이유가 없거든요. 만약에 자주 나가면, 한번에 다 쓸 수도 있을거 같아요...
Anyway, whatever. That's not important xD

So the most inconvenient thing about using film is having to develop the pictures. I don't have to knowledge or equipment to develop pictures on my own, so I use The DarkRoom. They have a service to develop film. I usually just pick the most basic options and it comes out to about $20 including shipping. It is a bit expensive....but I can't really complain. That's my only option.
필름에 제일 불편한 점은 현상인 것 같아요. 저는 어떻게 하는지도 모르고, 현상하는 물품도 없고 ㅋㅋ 그래서 The DarkRoom이라는 서비스를 써요. 기본 옵션 + 배송비가 ₩22000정도에요. 좀 비싼데, 어쩔 수 없죠...
So a few days ago, I finally used all the shots in my camera, so I sent it in to get developed. Another thing I like about using The DarkRoom, they're located in California so developing only takes a few days ;)
몇 일전에 드디어 필름 다 써서, 현상하러 보냈어요. The DarkRoom이 캘리포니아에 있어서, 오래 안 걸려서 좋아염~ ;)

Usually, between a third and a half of the pictures don't come out the way I envisioned. Sometimes they don't even come out at allㅠㅠ But this was a $7 camera, I can't really complain xD
대부분, 사진 1/3에서 1/2 정도가 제가 생각한 것 처럼 안 나와요. 어떨때는 아예 안 나와요ㅠㅠ 근데 ₩8000 카메라에 큰 기대 못 하죠 ㅋㅋ
I probably will be continuing to just use disposable for my film photography. The results are more than satisfactory, especially for the price. $28 for some pretty shots? Pretty good deal ;) No reason to get an expensive film camera, right? xD
아마 앞으로 계속 일회용 카메라 쓸거에요 ㅋㅋ ₩31000에 이렇게 좋은 사진이 나오는데~ 굳이 비싼 필름 카메라 살 이유가 있나요? ㅋㅋ
