Little Tokyo / Koreatown Shopping

Usually, my Fridays are spent alone. Both my parents work and my brother goes to school, but today, both my parents had the day off and my brother had a half day. Since we had to go to Ktown for my brother's hair cut, we just decided to leave earlier and have some lunch before.
I requested to go to Little Tokyo, of course ;) I've been meeting to go for a while now because I wanted to buy new magazines. I spend so much money on Japanese fashion magazines but the problem is, I can't read them ㅠㅠ I can read Hiragana, Katakana and the very basic Kanji, but I don't know enough to actually read anything...
Being completely honest, the reason I wanted to buy a magazine was because I saw that GOT7 was going to be in the December issue of CanCam. As an avid IGOT7, it's my duty to get every and anything that has GOT7 in it, right? So even though I don't usually get CanCam, I had to get this newest issue.
As I was flipping through the magazine, I realized the reason why I never bought CanCam before. It's a bit too boring for me. Maybe it's because I'm used to (and prefer) Vivi...but I don't know if I'll buy CanCam again.
Beast was the featuring celeb in the magazine and I was a bit confused. I went though the magazine at least three times to see if I missed GOT7. I was disappointed for a while...I thought I bought the wrong issue. I started looking though my mental calendar to see when I could go back to Little Tokyo to get the right magazine.
It wasn't until I got home that I found the GOT7 segment. It was in THE "イケメン" BOOK 2014, the small book that came with the magazine. I had just skimmed though this little book when I first opened the magazine and I didn't think much of it. So after the initial disappointment of not seeing my favorite boys, I was looking through the book half-heartedly. You can't imagine how happy I was to see the boys. They were so adorable~ This pictorial made me miss Jackson's hair ㅠㅠ I think he looks amazing now, but I can't deny that I prefer his old look.
Like I've continuously mentioned, my favorite Japanese magazine is, and forever will be, Vivi. So while my main purpose to going to the bookstore in Little Tokyo was to buy CanCam, I knew I wasn't going to walk out of the store without a copy of Vivi.
My favorite Vivi model is Tamashiro Tina. There's just something about her that just amazes me. She's done so much at such a young age...and she's just so dang pretty! That isn't to say that I don't like the other models. They all are amazing at what they do. I guess, that's the reason they have the job that they do xD
Anna Sui x Moomin !! I've never used any Anna Sui products, but I do know that they always have pretty packaging. You don't understand how much I like Moomin, so when I saw this...kyahhhh! Things like this make we want to go back to Japan even more. Everything in Japan just fits my likes and fashion more than here in the U.S....ㅠㅠ
It still surprises me when I see so many Korean celebs in Japanese magazines. It's amazing to see just how big Hallyu has gotten. Back when I lived in Japan, it was really rare to see foreign stars in magazines, but now...it's weird if there aren't any.
Another bookstore purchase of mine was a "Ado Mizumori Clear File Book". Basically, it was just set of clear file folders.I've been a fan of Ado Mizumori's artwork since forever, but I couldn't remember her name for the longest time. That's probably why it was hard for me to find any of her art or anything with her artwork on it.
I'm such a sucker for this kind of girly artwork. It's just so prettyful and cute~ I also really like Yoshitomo Nara's art work too ;) I need to get some of these two artists' artbooks next time.
After shopping and eating lunch in Little Tokyo, we went to Koreatown. We still had a few hours before we had to go to the hair salon, so we went shopping again xD I went to Ktown disappointed that GOT7 wasn't in my magazine...so I had to do something to get rid of that disappointment. I was browsing around a number of stores in the shopping complex, when I found the most amazing thing: a GOT7 calendar! Now this isn't an official calendar or anything. It's just one of those cheap Kpop idol good that you get for in small stationary stores...but it was good enough for me! xDD
Like I said before, I don't know if all of this was worth the $60+ that I spent. Everything is so overpriced...why must I be so far away from the countries with the things I love? ㅠㅠㅠㅠ
