Birthday Celebrations

First of all, a great big HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my bestest bestie ♡

She turned 20 today....well technically yesterday since she lives all the way in Japan. We met back in early 2006 when I was 10 and she was 11. I had just moved to Japan from the U.K, and she was one of the first friends I made. It still amazes me that we've been friends for so long. Almost 9 years we've been besties ♡ We haven't been able to celebrate anything together since I left Japan in 2009 ㅠㅠ We were able to meet up over this summer in Korea after 5 years. We only got to spend 5 days with each other, but we had so much fun over those few days. Next summer we're gonna have more fun and more time together! We need to go on a full Korean adventure!

So, while my bestie's 20th birthday is today, it was another friend's birthday yesterday! He turned 18, so to celebrate, a group of us went out to celebrate.
**Moon sticker because I don't know how he'd feel about having his pictures on my blog xD
While everyone else just met at our university and left to Sawtelle together, I met them there. I had to go to the DMV to take my written test (which I passed by the way :DD). So I got to Sawtelle a little past 1:00pm, and they were all eating. Our original plans were to go to karaoke, so as soon as they finished eating, that's what we did.

Saturday was only the 2nd time I've ever been to karaoke…which is ridiculous since I lived in both Japan and Korea. I don't know why I never went while I lived there…it's my loss ㅠㅠ The first time I went was over this past summer. I went with my brother and bestie and we had a lot of fun for the 3-4 hours we spent there. My 2nd karaoke adventure was pretty fun too…except that the room got really hot after a while. The Korean room was too small for the 11 of us xD

After two hours in karaoke, we went out for some snacks :3 We didn't stay in Sawtelle for much longer after that. There was a little discussion about where we should go next, but after finding out that I've never been there, my friends decided that we should go to the Santa Monica Pier.
**Blurry faces because I don't know how they feel about having their pictures on my blog and I'm too lazy to ask xD
So that's what we did :) Like I said, this was my first time to the pier. It reminded me a lot of Hongdae, all the stores on the way to the pier and then the performances on the pier. We had a lot of fun. We ate dinner on the beach and walked around the pier. Someone had rented out the amusement park of the pier until 9pm, so we spent hours just wandering around xD

I didn't get home until almost 1am this morning…I don't think I've ever been out that late before. I'm not used to staying out that late…and neither was my family xD They all stayed up waiting for me. They're so sweet ♡ I had a lot of fun, but I don't think I'll be going out and staying out like that very often. I started getting tired around 11pm. We had done so much walking…but I think it was all worth it. We all had fun and that's what's important :)
