Pass the Baton Kyoto

Continuing on with my Kyoto adventures, I went to this super cute cafe a few weeks after my Kyoto sightseeing adventure.
이번에도 교토 얘기 할게요~ 교토 관광 몇 주 뒤에 다시 교토 갔는데, 진짜 이쁜 카페 갔어요.
It was the Pass the Baton cafe in Gion.
그게 바로 기온에 있는 패스 더 바톤 카페였어요.
The original plan wasn't to go here. My friend and I had planned to go to a different cafe, but it was a lot more crowded that expected. So after walking around a bit, we found this place.
원래 계획은 다른 카페 가는 거 였는데, 사람이 너무 많았어요. 그래서 좀 돌아 다녔는데, 우연히 이 카페를 찾았어요.
We decided to get the shaved ice specials: citrus and hoji tea. I'm really not a big fan of Japanese shaved ice, so my expectations weren't that high. They weren't bad...but they weren't that great either.
우리가 빙수를 주문했어요: 시트러스랑 호지차 빙수. 저는 개인적으로 일본 빙수를 별로 안 좋아해요. 그래서 이 빙수에 대해 별 기대가 없었어요 ㅋㅋ 나쁘지는 않았는데...그렇게 좋지도 않았어요.
The interior of the cafe was really pretty. Gion is full of traditional Japanese architecture and style, but the inside of this cafe had a very old, European feel.
카페 인테리어가 너무 이뻤어요. 기온은 전통적인 일본 건축이 많아요. 근데 이 카페는 약간 유럽 느낌 났어요.
The cafe is on the first floor, and there is a cute boutique on the second floor. It's a really small place. It was hard to move around when there was barely anyone there...I can only imagine how crazy it gets when it's busy.
1층은 카페고, 2층은 작은 부티크 같은게 있더라고요. 진짜 작아요. 그 날 사람이 많지않았는데 하도 작아서 돌아다니기 좀 어려웠는데...사람이 많을때는 얼마나 움직이기 힘들까요 ㅋㅋ
I've said it before, but Gion is really a beautiful area. This cafe was so pretty in February, I can only imagine how pretty it is during the spring.
저번에도 얘기했는데 기온은 진짜 이뻐요. 이 카페도 너무 이뻤어요. 2월에 이렇게 이뻤는데 봄에는 얼마나 더
Once this pandemic is over, I hope to go back again~
코로나가 끝나면 다시 가보고 싶어요~
