Express Painted Floral Scuba Skirt

Monday, February 09, 2015

Over the last couple of years, I've found myself wearing more dresses and skirts. My wardrobe almost completely changed over the years. I bought the Painted Floral Scuba Skirt from Express a few months ago and it has quickly become my favorite.
It's originally priced at $49.90, but because of an amazing sale event going on, I got it for half the price.
I have always preferred things that are a bit more unique. I have more patterned clothes than I do plain. For that reason, I'm always catching attention in one way or another ;) This skirt is so unique that I always get compliments when I wear it, and who doesn't like getting complimented on their style?
The first time I wore this skirt: Xmas 2015. My outfit consisted of a black tanktop and this super pretty white knit cardigan from Gap to accompany the skirt. I ended up freezing to death at my cousin's house because it was so cold there. Just shows how much more important appearance is to me xD
My very casual look from yesterday~ Since we hadn't done the laundry yet, I didn't have a great selection of clothes to chose from. I think this outfit wasn't too bad for something I just grabbed from my closet. Paired with this "Keep It Real" top (from a brand I don't know xD It was one of my Xmas gifts and it was giftwrapped at Kohls so it's not like a brand shirt xD), the skirt stood out even more.
I actually wanted to have better photos of both my outfit and my makeup (because it came out really nice), but I forgot to charge my camera after the last time I used it -___-;; That resulted in me only getting a few awkward shots before my Nikon died...I was pretty sad. I had no plans and so I got all prettied up to have a photo day...yeah, that didn't happen.
And today's style :) I didn't go out yesterday, so I had originally planned to recycle yesterday's outfit for church today. Yeah, no. It was so hot today, I thought I would die of a heat stroke if I went out in black. This "American 03" shirt was sitting all crumpled up in the back of my dresser drawer and it looked like it had been there for a few weeks. I had no choice but to take it out and try my best to smooth out the wrinkles. I wasn't in the mood to be sweaty before I got to church.

This skirt goes with practically everything! As long as your top isn't too all over the place with it's design and/or color, this skirt will match. I'll be honest, if it hadn't been for the sale that Express was having, I probably wouldn't have bought this skirt. As pretty as it is, $50 is way too expensive. I guess I should be glad for my good timing ;)
